Another August long weekend has passed and so has the third annual Wanderlust Festival!

Wanderlust is a one-of-a-kind festival bringing together the world’s leading yoga teachers, top musical acts and DJs, renowned speakers, top chefs and winemakers — all in a setting of breathtaking natural beauty. We’re talking fun in the sun and dancing under the stars; hiking on peaceful trails and gettin’ your down dog on at the top of the mountain; sipping poolside cocktails with your friends, and then enjoying a tasty farm-to-table dinner with views of the surrounding mountain peaks. The expanding event saw 5,000 attendees this year with the roster of music acts including DJ/producer RJD2, New Orleans brass band Soul Rebels and veteran soul man Charles Bradley.

With the addition of the Farm to Table Dinner at the Roundhouse Lodge – prepared by Whistler Blackcomb’s Executive Chef, and Winderlust – tasting of BC’s finest Craft Beer and Wine, the event has evolved into much more than yogis and yoginis doing postures in the park.

I have been a yoga enthusiast for almost 20 years now and do enjoy quality, healthy, natural food, organic wines and love outdoor music

and activities so I’ll be front row again next year! And even if you are new to the yoga scene, you still have many options, you can watch from the side or go explore and check out some of the many other valley and mountain top outdoor fun to be had!

Festival organizers are expecting continued growth of the burgeoning festival as quoted in Pique News Magazine by Sean Hoess

“One of the opportunities Whistler affords is to build a truly mass yoga and outdoor lifestyle festival,” he wrote via email. “Whistler is unique in the size of its bed base, the size of its village, and the availability of conference space suitable for yoga practice. We expect to be able to build the scope and scale of Wanderlust Whistler for years to come.”
