- Whistler Vacation Rentals for 2 Nights :: VRBO Tip :: How to avoid 3 night minimum stay/
If you’ve been looking for a two-night rental, especially on busy weekends in Whistler, you probably already know they’re pretty hard to come by.
So, if you’re looking for a Whistler vacation rental-by-owner (VRBO) deal, and the owner has a three or four-night minimum and you only want to rent it for two nights, a simple tip is to offer to contribute to the housekeeping cost.
What?! You might ask, “Why should I pay for housekeeping?”
Housekeeping can cost the vacation rental owner upwards of $200-300 per stay. That’s why most VRBO rentals have a longer minimum nights stay. Rental by owner is different than a hotel in that VRBO’s typically get cleaned only when guests check out.
Each guest turnover requires scheduling with a housekeeping company, the cleaning process and, of course, paying the housekeeping team.
So, if you want to entice the owner to take a two-night instead of a three-night (or a three-night instead of a four-night) minimum stay, offer to contribute to the housekeeping costs… sometimes this little tip works.
That’s your Whistler tip on how to find a two-night rental that has a three-night minimum.
